Give and Receive!

My goodness, how time flies! How are you, friend?! I am sorry for not being with you as often as I should. I confess, I have been wrapped up in the busyness of this holiday. I do hope that you are enjoying this Christmas season to the fullest! I was so encouraged by a quote that I came across recently and I wanted to share it with you to dwell on.

"We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give."

Acts 20:35 says, "I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive'." It is always exciting to receive a gift, but I do hope that you also find great satisfaction in the gift of giving! That is what life is all about! God the Father sent His son into this world to give life to the world. I'm sure you'll agree that there is nothing more amazing than the gift of a child; and this is the form in which God chose to send us Jesus. A baby! What a beautiful picture! New life is found in Christ, who was born and lived as wholly God and wholly man! Just as we have been given, we are to give, with no expectation of reward. However, nothing escapes God's notice and He rewards those who bless others.

John 6:38 "Give, and it will be given to you...For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
Matthew 5:12 "Rejoice and be glad! For great is your reward in heaven..."
Matthew 6:19-21 "Do not store up for yourself treasures on earth...But store up for yourself treasures in heaven...for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Take Christ with you this season and throughout the new year, friend. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Find Joy in Him, Beloved!
